The Things We Do For Love

Tsuki's the love of my Doggy Life.

To know her is to love her…

…. she’s not a fan of other dogs. But after her shyness and hesitation go away, she’s like the kid who clings to your pantlegs, because you are her new best friend. She won’t risk a moment of you losing out on the chance to share love with her. If you aren’t a dog person, coming over to my house isn’t really an option… she WILL expect you, in as polite a way as she can, to interact with her in affectionate ways. lol

Tsuki is a very vocal conversationalist lol If you don’t know what she’s thinking, she’ll tell you.

She’s the vicious lick-you-to-death bonsai guard dog. lol

She has a MARVELOUS set of ANGEL WINGS on her back… (but I call it her tramp-stamp)

She is every inch a 71lb lap dog

And she TOTALLY loves HER truck. If she can’t drive…. she’s a head out the window, ears flapping, truck maniac!

The First Step On The Journey

March 12th seemed like a usual kind of day… Tsuki freaked out with joy because she was going for a car ride. To the vet, unbeknownst to her, where she was going to get an owwie looked at. This is a small but particularly STUBBORN recurring wound right behind her paw pad, which seemed to make it heal poorly. Any joint area with a wound is a problem… on a pitbull, who are powerful hind leg runners… it’s a complete pain in the backside.

The vet cleaned up the wound and us if she could run a biopsy on it.

We got the results on March 24th…. Grade 2 Soft Tissue Sarcoma. We’ve assembled a team, a plan, and have put together all of the basics to keep her safe and well. Does that mean I feel prepared? Not in the least. But I’ll take the steps…. one at a time, to get us both into this new Tripawd life.
